Heyo! We’re back again with another wildly popular pasta sauce recipe! You may know it by another name, but here at TCDC this is strictly called pink sauce. It is very similar to our vodka sauce recipe, but minus the vodka and with a couple other minor differences. But all you really need to know is that this sauce is so delicious and cheesy, and the perfect staple sauce to make for friends, family, and yourself, as it goes with literally any type of pasta. We’ve personally tried it with both homemade gnocchi and chickpea penne, and boy was it good.
What do I need?
3 tablespoons of tomato paste
1/2 cup of tomato sauce
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
4 ounces of fresh mozzarella, cut into cubes
4 tablespoons of butter
1 cup of heavy cream
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
What do I do?
1) Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, then mix in the tomato paste and stir until combined.
2) Once the tomato paste is all mixed in, add in the tomato sauce.
3) Pour in the heavy cream, and mix until everything is well combined.
4) Add half of the mozzarella cubes and all of the parmesan cheese, mix until combined. There should be a decent cheese pull at this point ;)
5) Mix in the garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix it ALLLL up!!!!!
6) Enjoy with whatever type of pasta you like, and top it off with the remaining mozzarella cubes for even more cheesiness!!! YUM!!!
