Today we are gifting you lucky followers with our updated vodka sauce recipe. We shared this on the ‘gram last week, but we wanted to still include it here for easier access. Enjoy!
What will I need?
2 cups of pasta
1 shot of vodka - we used Tito’s
3 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
2 cloves of garlic, minced
3/4 cup of heavy cream
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
salt & pepper
What do I do?
1) Cook pasta according to box instructions. Save one cup of pasta water before draining.
2) Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and let it cook until it is nice and fragrant (~5 minutes).
3) Add the tomato paste and stir until it is all combined.
4) Let the mixture cook for a minute or so, until the tomato paste darkens.
5) Next, add the shot of vodka and stir. Then add the heavy cream, and whisk until everything is combined.
6) Lower the heat, and let everything simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7) Finally, add the parmesan cheese to the mix. Whisk until the sauce thickens - if you’d like, add in some of the saved pasta water to reach your desired thickness.
8) Add your cooked pasta, some salt and pepper, and mix it all up!
9) Serve and ENJOY!!!
